Bronx Times Showcases Multimedia Center's Riches

In a Bronx Times column, Jilleen Barrett gave props to Lehman's Multimedia Center (MMC), calling it “a hidden gem in the Bronx.” Multimedia Center director Brendan McGibney wowed them with its state-of-the-art facilities—including a television studio, audio and visual production suites, and newsroom—that provide students with hands-on professional education in all aspects of media production. Barrett and Bronx Economic Development Corporation president Rob Walsh toured the studios prior to the taping of a new LEAP Into Business podcast last week.
Barrett's headline-grabbing shout-out to Lehman is another feather in the cap of the MMC—which has not only produced Emmy Award-winning PSAs and video segments, but Emmy Award-winning alumni. As McGibney told her, “our mission is to make sure students leave here with the skills and confidence to step right into the industry.”
