Student Technology Fee Academic Year 2025-2026

The Student Technology Fee (Tech Fee) supports Lehman College’s mission to enhance teaching, learning, and student success through technology. Funding is used to improve access to digital learning tools, maintain and upgrade instructional and computing infrastructure, and support innovative projects that expand students’ technological competencies across all disciplines.
The Lehman College Technology Fee Committee has completed their process for Academic Year 2025- 2026 and submissions are being reviewed by CUNY Central. The proposed Tech Fee Plan can be viewed below. Special thanks to the Tech Fee Committee and especially to our student representatives. The Tech Fee Committee is comprised of student members, including student government leaders, as well as faculty and staff members representing a cross-section of Lehman’s schools and divisions.

Tech Fee Process and Proposals for 2025-2026

This year, we are shifting our focus toward the replacement of aging student-facing computers that can no longer be updated, posing significant cybersecurity risks and limiting students’ access to current software and digital tools.

Proposals that prioritize the replacement of obsolete student-accessible computers - in classrooms, labs, the library, and other student-centered spaces—will be given special consideration. Our goal is to create a more secure, efficient, and future-ready computing environment that meets the evolving needs of our students.
