The Student Peer Mentoring Program

The Student Peer Mentoring Program (SPMP) is a student-to-student peer mentoring program since 2022 via EAB-Navigate. It helps learners to locate college and university resources, experts, and opportunities that focus on getting started / the basics, learning ​milestones, and achievement in student learning experiences.​​


Virtual and In Person Services (via EAB-Navigate)

  1. Questions, Guidance, and Tips for Learning​
  2. Virtual Learning Opportunities:
    1. Orientation to (online) Learning ​
    2. Digital toolkits ​
    3. Resources for high-stake assessment periods (term papers, final projects, disseminations, etc.)​
    4. CUNY / Lehman Guidelines, Standards, and Policies​
  3. Assistance with Educational Technology:
    1. Digital Publishing tools (at CUNY)​
    2. Generative A.I. (best practices, ethical tools)​
    3. Brightspace​
  4. NEW Learning Hubs​: A single milestone-driven space, led by peer mentors (topics: accountability support, presentation support, graduate student learning experiences, adult and returning learning experiences, etc.).​

Make an Appointment For Service with a Peer Mentor

Online students use Lehman Navigate to meet with an experienced student-peer or professional to guide you at any stage of your online learning experience.

  1. Sign in to Navigate (Apple/Google) using your CUNYfirst login, or the Lehman College Mobile App (download)
  2. a. Web Browser Click “Schedule an Appointment"
    b. Mobile App - Click “Appointments” then on the bottom of the screen “Schedule an Appointment”
  3. Select the appointment type: Student Support Services
  4. Under Services, Scroll Down to Online Learning and choose a service
