Natural and Social Sciences Teaching Award
The Teaching Achievement Award is given annually to recognize faculty who not only set a high standard, but also continually assess and re-evaluate what is working and what is not working in the classroom to ensure that students are put in the best possible position to achieve that high standard.
2025-2026 Honorees
For their Excellence in Teaching, we recognize Dr. Karyna Pryiomka of Psychology who exemplifies teaching achievement by consistently setting high standards while actively refining her pedagogy through innovative, student-centered approaches and continuous assessment to enhance learning outcomes and ensure student success and Dr. Chun-I Wang of Chemistry who sets a high standard through innovative, AI-integrated chemistry curricula and continuously refining his pedagogy with scaffolded, data-driven learning approaches that enhance student understanding, adaptability, and success in modern scientific contexts.
2024-2025 Honorees

We recognize as outstanding teachers Dr. Sandra Campeanu of Psychology for her strengths in guiding students to effectively navigate and critically analyze information, Dr. Jack Henning of Biological Sciences for his commitment to innovative teaching that reaches and enriches students’ lives, and Dr. Donna McGregor of Chemistry for relentlessly implementing and expanding evidence-based pedagogical strategies for improving student achievement, both in her department and beyond.
