ConEd Award
The Con Edison Endowed Scholarship in STEM is given annually to an undergraduate student in the School who has demonstrated academic excellence and is planning a career in a science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) field. The award was endowed to help students pursuing degrees in STEM subjects that are essential to the country’s competitiveness and economic growth, and that offer the promise of strong job opportunity in diverse settings.
Eligibility and Application Procedures
To be eligible for the award, students must:
- have completed at least 60 credits,
- have declared an undergraduate major in a department in the School of Natural and Social Sciences,
- have a strong record of academic achievement,
- be enrolled in classes in the current academic year.
To apply for the award, students must be prepared to submit:
- a response to the prompt: “How have your experiences at Lehman College impacted your plans for a career in a STEM field?” (up to 500 words)
Applications will open each year at the start of the Spring semester and close at the end of March.
