LEHMAN COLLEGE EARNS NATIONAL RECOGNITION FOR VALUE, ACCESS, AND STUDENT SUCCESS

THE BRONX, N.Y., Sept. 9, 2026  The newest national rankings are out, and Lehman College stands solidly among the nation's most prestigious institutions, including Ivy League universities, continuing its streak of recognition for providing a top-tier education with strong economic outcomes at an exceptional value.  

Leading the latest recognitions, TIME America's Best Colleges ranked Lehman No. 36 in the nation for value, making it the highest-ranked CUNY institution on the list and the 9th best public institution in the nation. 

Additional rankings from Niche.com and Washington Monthly recognized Lehman among the nation's top colleges for value, access, and student success, including a No. 16 ranking among Hispanic-Serving Institutions nationwide.

Several of the College’s academic programs also received notable recognition: 

  • #1 Most Affordable Computer Science Degree Program in the United States (UniversityHQ) 
  • #6 Best Colleges for Accounting and Finance in New York (Niche.com) 

Together, these recognitions underscore Lehman's growing national profile, and its role as a leading public institution and one of the nation's top Hispanic-Serving Institutions.
