New Study Could Change Approach to Strength Training

A study co-authored by Professor Brad Schoenfeld (Exercise Science), director of the Human Performance and Fitness program, in the Journal of Applied Physiology suggests that muscle growth may be achieved without continually increasing the intensity of strength training. In other words, when weightlifting to build muscle mass, less could be more. The results were publicized in Men's Health.
