Jorge Asjana David, candidate for rector of La Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo, or UASD), visited Lehman College with a delegation from the University to strengthen ties and explore future academic collaborations. During his visit, he met with key college officials and expressed gratitude for the warm reception, highlighting interest in student exchange and international cooperation. USAD is the primary university system in the Dominican Republic, with a legacy extending back to the oldest institution of higher learning in the Western Hemisphere.
