Lehman College students Mac Russ and Javier Chen Weng took home the FredFilms Best Animated Film Award (Undergraduate) at this year’s CUNY Film Festival for their film EGG Head. The two met in an Intro to Animation class and were previously recognized by the Art Department for their collaborative animated work.

"EGG Head was a tremendous example of Lehman students meeting for the first time and discovering their very different burgeoning animation skills can be combined to discover and create something wonderfully unforeseen," said the students' professor, Adam Wurtzburg, who taught the animation course where Russ and Weng met. 

"Being encouraged to nurture those meeting of the minds is one of the most rewarding aspects of teaching at Lehman," he added.
