It's official—the president of the Dominican Republic has named actress, media personality, and Lehman alumna Celinés Toribio the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs for Dominican Communities Abroad, a key link between Dominicans worldwide and their home country.  

In her new position, Toribio will work on "strengthening the relationship between Dominicans abroad and their country of origin," according to an announcement in Amo Dominicana. The role is also responsible for cultivating opportunities for Dominican expatriates where they live. 

Toribio was a Mass Communications and Theatre major.
