2025 marks the 25th anniversary of the scholarly journal Ciberletras, which is based at Lehman College. Founded by Emeritus Professor Cristina Guiñazu, Ciberletras promotes high-quality publications in Hispanophone and Latin American studies, and was one of the first open-access online academic journals in the field. Since 2019, the journal has been directed by Professor Marco Ramírez Rojas.

As an international hub for intellectual engagement and academic inquiry, the journal showcases scholars from North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America; and publishes interviews with prominent writers such as Mexican Pulitzer prize-winner Cristina Rivera Garza, Ecuadorian novelist Gabriela Alemán, and Bolivian activist-critic María Galindo.
