Professor of Music Penny Prince, a prolific and beloved composer of original musical theatre at Lehman College, has been named a 2024 American Prize Honored Artist. The award goes to those who have proven themselves to be of "sustained excellence" over a number of seasons as laureates of The American Prize competitions. In 2022, Prince was awarded The American Prize for Musical Theatre for her original musical “Cinderella ’21,” an innovative virtual production created during the COVID-19 pandemic and performed by Lehman students.
