The Lehman College Multimedia Center is a state-of-the-art facility with video, audio and post-production suites comparable with other professional facilities in the Tri-State Area. Students have the ability to train on broadcast-quality equipment in every aspect of video and audio production and have the opportunity to work on various types of shows and productions. Whether it is a production class, programs produced by the College, professionally produced programs by our partner BronxNet Television, or a professional audio recording, this facility enables our students to gain valuable hands-on experience.
Some of our productions include the esteemed Bronx Journal, a news-type talk show produced by students; EdCast, recent winner of a Telly Award; multiple Telly Award winning “Conversations with William M. Hoffman”; a live concert with The Bacon Brothers; the NY Emmy nominated OPEN 2.0, produced by our partners BronxNet.
When not being use for teaching and learning the facility is available for outside clients to rent for video, audio and post-production needs. Former clients include members of the film, television and recording industries, and several have given students the opportunity to work as crewmembers.
