Compliance Training

The University’s Employee Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Response Course (ESPARC) and Workplace Violence Prevention Training (WVP) will be available for employees for the 2025-2026 academic year.

For ESPARC and for WVP, all part-time employees, including adjuncts, are responsible for completing both training courses by the end of the current semester to ensure their completion is logged by the University. Inactive employees on a short work break or leave of absence in CUNYfirst will not have access to the courses.

In compliance with New York State law and CUNY Policy, all Human Resources Professionals and campus supervisors and managers with at least one direct report are required to complete the new Gender Based Violence Training (GBVT), which is committed to ensuring a survivor-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive response for all employees experiencing domestic or gender-based violence, at least once every academic year.

All trainings are available to employees via CUNY Brightspace. Once in Brightspace, the link to complete the training can be found in the My Organization section. All required employees will have until Friday, May 29, 2026, to complete the training.
