Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide exemplary service to our faculty, staff, students, and administrators in support of Lehman College's educational goals. HR Announcements

HR staff will continue to meet with employees by Zoom or Microsoft Teams. If an in-person meeting is needed, please schedule the meeting in advance by calling (718) 960-8181 or send an email to the HR representative you want to meet with. This link will get you to the Lehman College Directory where you will find contact information for the HR staff.

If you need to drop off documents, please call HR at (718) 960-8181 before coming to the office so we know to expect you.



Election day is Tuesday, November 5, 2024. 

Here is the link to the CUNY Time to Vote Notice to Employees which is posted on the University Human Resources website. This notice must be posted until the close of the polls on Election Day.

  1. Employees are eligible for voting leave only if they do not have four (4) consecutive hours either between the opening of the polls and the beginning of their working shift, or between the end of their working shift and the closing of the polls; and  
  2. Employees who do not have a four (4) hour window are eligible to take off only as much working time as will enable, when added to their voting time outside working hours, the employee to vote, up to three (3) hours of which time must be without loss of pay. 

Early voting takes place between October 26, 2024 - November 3, 2024. Time off to vote is not available for early voting. Early Voting | New York State Board of Elections (ny.gov)

Employees must notify the employer at least two working days prior to their intention to take paid time off to vote, but not more than ten working days. If an employee plans to take time off to vote per the guidelines above, the employee should indicate the hours on their corresponding timesheet.

Local Laws of The City Of New York

Workers’ Bill of Rights

Page two of the Worker’s Bill of Rights, references the NYC Paid Safe and Sick Leave law. To clarify, CUNY as a governmental employer is exempt from this law. Please refer to the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection’s FAQs on this topic. Page seven of the FAQs states that governmental employees are not covered by this law.
