Nursing Student Association (NSA)


The mission of the Nursing Students Association (NSA) at Lehman College is to empower and support nursing students through mentorship, academic and professional development, leadership, service, and community engagement. NSA fosters an inclusive environment where nursing students can build meaningful connections, strengthen their skills, advocate for the nursing profession, and prepare to become compassionate, knowledgeable, and engaged healthcare professionals. Through collaboration and service, NSA is committed to promoting student success and making a positive impact within the Lehman College community and beyond.

African Nursing Student Association (ANSA)


The African Nursing Students Association (ANSA) welcomes students of all cultural backgrounds and ethnicities. Our mission is to empower prospective nurses through peer mentorship, academic guidance, and professional development. We support Africans and ALL nursing students within a united community so that no student navigates their education alone, providing everyone with the tools, encouragement, and support needed to graduate and excel in the nursing field.

Omicron Epsilon Beta Chapter, Chi Eta Phi Sorority Inc.®

Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc.® is a professional organization for registered professional nurses and student nurses (all genders) representing many cultures and diverse ethnic backgrounds. More than 9000 Registered Nurses and Student Nurses hold membership in Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc.®.

Vision

Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc.®, is an internationally recognized leader in developing healthy communities through advocacy, collaboration, education, leadership, research, and service.

Mission

  • Encouragement of the pursuit of continuing education
  • Recruitment programs for health careers
  • Stimulation of close and friendly relationship among members
  • Development of working relationships with other professional groups
  • Identification of a core of nursing leaders who affect social changes at the international, national, regional, and local levels

Omicron Chapter Inc., Chi Eta Phi Sorority Inc.® (RNs) was founded on September 26, 1954. It was the first chapter of Chi Eta Phi established in New York State. It is the supervising Chapter for Omicron Epsilon Beta Chapter at Lehman College.

Omicron Epsilon Beta Chapter, Chi Eta Phi Sorority Inc.® at Lehman College was established on August 21, 2021. It is the first Beta (undergraduate nursing student) Chi Eta Phi Sorority Inc.® Chapter established at a Senior College of the City University of New York (CUNY).
