Welcome to the Department of Counseling, Leadership, Literacy and Special Education (CLLSE) at CUNY Lehman College. We offer master’s degrees in Counselor Education (Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling), a doctoral program, master’s degrees and advanced certificates in Educational and Organizational Leadership, master’s degrees and advanced certificates in Special Education, a master’s degree and advanced certificate in Special Education, and we are developing an undergraduate degree in Special Education, A Masters in Couple, Family, and Relationship Counseling and and a Master’s in Higher Education Student Affairs Counseling, and a Doctoral Program in Counselor Education and Social Justice. Teacher and Leader Education programs are accredited by the Council on the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). The Counselor Education: School Counseling program is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). The Counselor Education: Clinical Mental Health Counseling program is in the application process for CACREP.
