Lehman serves as a cultural hub for both its students and the surrounding community. Home to the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts, the Lehman College Art Gallery, and Lehman Stages, the college cultivates strong ties with the Bronx community, providing opportunities for both students and the general public to experience a range of artistic performances, from art shows and philharmonic concerts to theater productions and stand-up comedy.

As part of Celebrating Black History Month 2025, Gloria Rolando, legendary Cuban Film Documentarian, will give a special lecture and interview related to her film "Nostros y El Jazz" ("The Jazz in Us") (2004) about the connection between African Americans and Afro Cubans through their shared love of jazz. This event takes place in the Studio Theatre in the Speech & Theatre building.
