The Lehman College Alumni Association Advisory Board

The mission of the Lehman College Alumni Advisory Board is to build and maintain a strong and robust alumni engagement program that provides value for alumni, supports and advances Lehman College, and develops and strengthens the bonds among alumni, current students and the College.

Alumni Advisory Board members serve as ambassadors and play key roles in increasing knowledge about Lehman College by: increasing ties to a wide variety of industries and professions, amplifying annual fund and scholarship fundraising and offering many opportunities that provide connection for the alumni community to the College.

How to serve on the board

Service on the Alumni Advisory Board of Directors is open to interested Lehman alumni who are ready to be of service, helping the Lehman community connect to opportunities to celebrate Lehman’s accomplishments, to engage with their peers, and to represent the school among various constituencies and by attending a calendar of events.

Nominees should be willing to demonstrate support for the College’s annual fund at a level of their own comfort. Interested alumni will be interviewed by the Nominating Committee, reviewed by Lehman College’s President, and are then nominated for a Board vote. To request an application email: alumni.relations@lehman.cuny.edu.

I joined the alumni board to build connections that will help impact the student body and Lehman's mission. Being an ESL student made it very difficult to succeed in higher education. I let them know "You can DO IT.” My key motivator is to engage students and make a lasting difference for those who may be struggling in this journey.
