Lehman Afro-Caribbean Percussion Ensemble
Victor Rendón, Director
Experience an electrifying evening of rhythmic tradition as the Lehman Afro-Caribbean Percussion Ensemble presents a vibrant program spanning classical works and folkloric music from around the globe.
This dynamic ensemble brings together students and community members to explore American and Afro-Caribbean musical traditions from the United States, Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, South America, and beyond. Through diverse combinations of percussion instruments, performers showcase both time-honored repertoire and culturally rooted performance practices.
Dedicated to cultivating authentic technique and stylistic understanding, the ensemble highlights the rich rhythmic languages that connect continents and communities. Join us for a powerful celebration of percussion in its many voices.
