Biography

Maria Camaj is the Chief of Staff and Director of Operations at Hunter College, where she provides strategic and administrative support to senior staff, ensuring the advancement of college initiatives and programs while developing and evaluating methods to support the President and the institution. Maria also serves as a conduit through which members of the community can communicate with the president and oversees the day-to-day operations. With over 20 years in public and private sectors, Maria Camaj brings extensive expertise in higher education and complex executive management. Formerly Associate Director for Special Projects at Lehman College, her career spans to domestic and international business, underscoring her strategic leadership. A three-time Lehman College alumna with degrees in Business and Organizational Leadership, and currently pursuing a DBA in Strategic Management, Maria has also dedicated the past six years to teaching Organizational Behavior and Development.
