Richard Finger, Vice President for Enrollment Management and Adjunct Lecturer

Richard is a long-time member of the Lehman College Community and has served the campus in various capacities as the Founding Director of the Office of Special Academic Sessions, Director of Graduate Studies, Senior Director of Enrollment Management, and Vice President of Enrollment Management since April 2022. He is a passionate urban educator committed to ensuring that Lehman College is a place where every student who shows the promise to succeed is afforded an opportunity to do so and supported throughout their journey.

As a leader, Richard embraces the philosophies of Hewlett and Packard and their “Leadership by Walking Around” style and Herb Kelleher's “Walk a Mile Approach” to leadership.

In addition to leading the Division of Enrollment Management, he regularly teaches Strategic Management in the School of Business and often partners with academic programs around the college to assist in new program development. An early adopter of online learning, Richard has over 20 years of experience developing and facilitating undergraduate and graduate courses. In addition, he has over 20 years of experience teaching Career Development and Counseling and has helped prepare over 1000 mental health and school counseling professionals in the region. 

Richard holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Master’s degrees in Organizational Behavior and Business, and a Doctorate in Health Care Administration.
