A: Applicants can accept their offer of admission through their CUNYfirst accounts by following the steps below:
- Log into your CUNYfirst Account.

- Stop, smile and pat yourself on the back. You did it! Click on the Accept Offer button to become part of the Lehman Community.
If your file is complete and you do not see one of the options previously mentioned, please send an email to: undergraduate.admissions@lehman.cuny.edu. Include your name as it appears on the application, your application number and/or your EMPL ID number. The Lehman College Admissions Office will review your file and get back to you as soon as possible.
Q: I applied to Lehman as a freshman/transfer and I have not received a response from the school. How can I find out if I was accepted?
A: An admission decision is sent to students via email once the application is deemed complete and reviewed by the College. You can log in to your CUNYfirst account to see the status of your application. If you have any questions regarding your application and required supporting documents, Connect with Lehman Admissions.
Q: I accepted my offer to attend Lehman. What should I do next?
A: Please review your application on your CUNYfirst Student Center and ensure that your commitment fee is not required. If it is required, please submit the commitment fee online:

All accepted students are required to submit a non-refundable $100 Commitment Tuition Deposit. Q: My GPA from Lehman is below a 2.0. How do I appeal to readmit?
A: Former students with a Lehman cumulative GPA lower than 2.0 must file an appeal for readmission prior to filing a re-admit application. Appeals are filed with the Office of Academic Standards and Evaluation. For further information regarding the appeal process, please visit the Appeal FAQ page.
Q: What is the ACE program and how do I know if I am accepted?
A: Accelerate, Complete, and Engage (ACE) at Lehman College is a comprehensive program designed to help transfer students complete their academic journey to a bachelor’s degree within two years. ACE provides a range of financial, academic, and personal supports, including intensive academic advisement and career counseling, as well as tuition, textbook, and transportation assistance. Admission consideration requirements include specific major pursuits, a competitive GPA and participation in an information session and appointment with an ACE advisor.
Q: I see that I was admitted for the fall semester, but my start semester is the summer. Do I have to take summer courses?
A: There is no obligation to take summer courses at Lehman, unless required by a specific program. It is normal to have a start semester in CUNYfirst preceding the semester to which you were admitted.
Q: If I have questions and would like to meet with an admissions counselor, can I set up an appointment?
A: Yes, we currently have many ways to Connect with Admissions.
Q: Are information sessions and campus tours being offered?

Q: What is the difference between the EmpLID #, Lehman ID # and the CUNYfirst ID #?
A: These descriptions associated with your CUNY identification number are used interchangeably and all refer to the same number. You can locate your CUNYfirst ID by logging into your CUNYfirst account and navigating to the Student Center. The ID # is located on the top right corner.
Q: How do I update my CUNYfirst account if I already have an account with another CUNY school?
A: Once you have committed to Lehman College and registered for courses, you will see your CUNYfirst college-affiliation change from your previously attended CUNY college to Lehman College. Even prior to this change of college affiliation, your "To-Do" list in CUNYfirst will display Lehman-specific action items.

Q: Did Lehman College waive the SAT/ACT requirement?
A: SAT/ACT tests are optional. However, the City University of New York (CUNY) requires all students to demonstrate proficiency in English (reading and writing) and math to enroll in credit-bearing courses in the associated subject. Students may establish proficiency in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, meeting benchmark score on the New York State Regents exams (when available) and maintaining a specific high school GPA or High School Equivalency exam score. Q: What is the best way for me to send you my transcript(s)?
A: Official transcript(s) should be e-mailed electronically to admissions@cuny.edu via the digital credential company (e.g. Parchment, E transcript(s), National Clearinghouse, Escripts) to which your previous school subscribe(s).
Q: How do I know if my transcripts were received?
A: You should check your Application Status in CUNYfirst to see if your transcripts were received.

Q: I am unable to obtain a transcript from my previous school, can I submit an unofficial transcript instead?
A: We do not accept unofficial transcripts. Institutions provide transcripts electronically via digital credential companies. You should visit the Registrar’s website at your previous institution(s) for information about requesting transcripts.
Q: When I apply, do I have to submit transcripts from college I have attended?
A: Students are required to submit transcripts from every college/institution attended. Omission of a transcript during the application process may lead to serious disciplinary action.
Q: Can I drop off documents in-person?
A: While you can drop off documents in person, the best way to submit them is electronically, via our secure portal. A link will be sent to you if additional documents are required.
Q: How do I submit test scores/examinations for alternative credit options upon entry, such as from AP, CLEP, FEMA, etc.?

A: Students who previously attended Lehman College in a non-degree status and now wish to pursue a degree program must file a Transfer Application and submit official transcript(s) from all college(s)/institution(s) attended.
Q: I am interested in being readmitted to Lehman College. What should I do?
A: If you stopped attending Lehman College for more than three semesters and have not completed your bachelor’s degree at Lehman, please complete the Readmission Application. To access the Undergraduate Readmission Application, please log in with your Lehman College email credentials, or click here to create an account. We will review your account to determine eligibility and provide you with further instructions.
Q: I am applying for readmission/non-degree. How do I pay for the application fee?
A: The readmission and non-degree application fee will be added to your tuition bill.
Q: How do I apply as a freshman to the Nursing program?
A: First, you select one of the Nursing intended majors on the application. However, as a freshman, you will not be accepted directly into Nursing. There is a separate admission process into this program which will be explained when you meet with an advisor.
Q: How do I apply for the Nursing program if I am not a Registered Nurse (RN)?
A: If you are not a registered nurse and are interested in the nursing program, you may be eligible for either the Traditional Generic program or Accelerated Generic program (if you already have a bachelor’s degree). We only admit students into these programs once a year. It is highly recommended you familiarize yourself with the nursing admissions process and application deadlines. There is a two-step admissions process. To get started, select one of the Nursing majors as your intended plan on the CUNY application and submit all required documents. Q: I’m a registered nurse (RN), and am interested in getting my BS in Nursing? How do I apply for the RN-BS Nursing program?
A: The RN to BSN program is intended for those applicants who have completed an AS in Nursing and who are currently registered as RN in NYS. Lehman currently has two RN programs: Traditional (in-person) and online. Both programs are 37.5 credits.

Q: I have been accepted to Lehman. What is my next step?
A: Shortly after committing to Lehman, Freshmen, Transfer, Second-degree, and Readmit students are assigned an Academic Advisor from the Onboarding Advisement Office to assist them with the enrollment process. The student’s assigned advisor will be in touch via email or text about setting up an advising appointment.

Q: How can I make an appointment with my assigned advisor?

Q: I am a transfer student and I have a major declaration hold in my account. What can I do?
A: If you have earned or are transferring 60 or more credits, you must declare an Academic Plan (major) before registering for classes. You must submit an iDeclare request via your Lehman360 account.
Q: What will help with my transition to Lehman?
A: The Lehman Navigate app allows students to schedule and track advising appointments, access class schedule, to-do items, holds, etc. Students should also check their Lehman email account regularly for important information from their advisors and instructors.
Q: How can I register for classes?
A: You can start registering for classes on or after your enrollment appointment date using Schedule Builder via CUNYfirst Student Center.
Q: When I try to register for a class, it says that permission is needed. What does that mean?
A: Certain courses require departmental permission to register. If you attempt to register for a course and permission is required, you should contact the department that offers the course in order to request permission to enroll in the class. Each department’s contact information may be found in the directory.
Q: How do I know what classes I need for my major? A: “Common Departmental Advising Day” (CDAD) are days during which faculty advisors are available to meet with students. To see a schedule of CDAD’s, click here to view the Academic Calendar and look for “CDAD Advising.” Click here for the list of Academic Departments and the ways to connect with them. Some faculty advisors from different departments are available for appointments via Navigate.
Q: How can I declare my major?
A: If you have earned or are transferring 60 or more credits (a combination of credits earned and credits currently in progress), you must declare an Academic Plan (major) before registering for classes. In order to access iDeclare, you must first claim your Lehman account. Once your iDeclare request is submitted online, you can check its status in Lehman 360.

Q: How do I submit documents electronically to complete my enrollment process, after I have been admitted?
A: Admitted students who have received an email requesting additional supporting documents (e.g., proof of green card, proof of name, proof of residency), should submit the scanned requested document(s) via our Undergraduate Admissions File Drop. When scanning the document(s), be sure to use a solid-colored background and avoid any shadows or other objects in the image.
Q: If I need to postpone my enrollment for a semester, what should I do?
A: Students who accept their offer of admission and commit to Lehman College can have their enrollment deferred for up to 1 year (2 semesters). Once you commit for a semester but do not register for courses, you will be sent an email shortly after the add/drop period offering you an opportunity to defer your enrollment for a future semester. Once you receive that email, complete the imbedded survey and your enrollment will be automatically deferred.
Q: How do I go about getting my Lehman ID card?
A: New students (including transfer students), faculty, and staff can obtain a photo ID card using the Office of Public Safety’s online photo ID card system. Please visit this link for more information.
Q: How can I work at Lehman?
A: When you apply for Financial Aid by filling out a free FAFSA form online, you should answer “Yes” to the Work Study question. This will enable you to be considered for Federal Work-Study (FWS) employment. You can also go to the CUNY website for employment opportunities.
Q: What is the Federal Work-Study program?
A: Federal Work-Study is campus-based federal Title IV financial aid that comes in the form of employment. FWS is applied for through the FAFSA application. To be eligible, students must enroll in a matriculated course of study and register for at least six credits. Students receive FWS funds according to the number of hours worked. The rate of pay is at least minimum wage. Students are encouraged to choose job placements with an eye towards community service and/or future vocational interests. FWS funds are limited and are awarded to students on a first-come, first-served basis. The earliest applications have the best possibility of receiving FWS funds.

Q: How can I view my financial aid package?
A: If you’ve completed a FAFSA application and your financial aid is packaged, you may view your Financial Aid package by following the CUNYfirst instructions below:

- Make sure you select LEH01 for Lehman and correct Academic Year
To review what is due for the upcoming semester:

Q: What is the Excelsior Program? How am I considered for it, and how does it get applied to my tuition?
A: The Excelsior Program enables eligible New York State residents to attend a CUNY college tuition-free. Recipients of this award must have a family income of $125,000 or less for 2020-21, have filed the FAFSA along with the TAP and Excelsior Scholarship applications, attend full-time, and complete 30 credits per year. Awardees must also agree to reside exclusively in New York State, and cannot be employed in any other state for a continuous number of years equal to the duration of the award. The Excelsior Scholarship will be applied to each qualifying student's financial aid package after all other aid, including TAP, Pell, City Council Scholarship, college scholarships and other grants or scholarships are applied.

Q: I'm having trouble completing the SPARC Training. What should I do?
A: SPARC is an online training program developed by the State University of New York in partnership with CUNY. Its purpose is to educate members of an institution’s community, on what the policies are, how they can report incidents and resources to assist them. All students must complete this training. Q: Is there student parking on campus?

Q: I graduated from Lehman College. How can I get my diploma?
A: As a Lehman graduate, to get a copy of your diploma you will need to contact the Registrar’s Office. The office can be reached at registrar.office@lehman.cuny.edu or at 718-960-8255.
Q: What is a TCE?
A: A transfer credit evaluation (TCE) is a course-by-course evaluation of your previous coursework detailing how they equate to the courses at Lehman.
Once you have accepted your offer and committed to enrolling at Lehman, our TCE office will determine how your courses will transfer from your previous institution(s). You will be notified by email and/or text messages about the status of your TCE. Also, if you are a non-CUNY transfer and have courses in progress at your previous institution at the time you applied to Lehman, you must submit your final official transcript and proof of degree (if applicable) once the grades have been posted so that we can consider those courses for transfer credit as well.
Q: I recently committed to Lehman College and want to know when my TCE will be completed?
A: Now that you’ve accepted our offer and paid the commitment deposit (or maybe your deposit was waived), we will begin working on your transfer credit evaluation (TCE). Once it is completed, you will receive an email detailing your next steps, which involves meeting with an onboarding advisor and registering for classes.
You can also monitor your progress through the Student Center in CUNYfirst. You can see if your TCE has been posted by navigating to your Academic Records and selecting View Transfer Credit Report on the left-hand side of the page.
Q: Does Lehman College accept credit from every institution?
A: Lehman College recognizes certain accrediting bodies, and credit from those institutions will be transferred. Please refer to the Transfer Credit Policy for more information. Credit from non-accredited institutions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Q: How many transfer credits will Lehman College accept?
A: Credit from accredited institutions will transfer except for courses with grades lower than a C- from non-CUNY schools (we accept D grades from CUNY). Credit will not transfer from repeated or remedial courses.
Q: My TCE has courses with the number “8888.” What does that mean?
A: “8888” courses are placeholders used to indicate that a course is pending evaluation by the corresponding academic department. Course descriptions will automatically be sent to faculty for their review. You can check the status of your 8888 courses through the Unevaluated Courses section of Lehman360. A course with the status “Action Needed by Student” requires you to submit documentation to be sent to faculty.

A: New York State public health law requires that all students taking 6 or more credits provide proof of vaccination to MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) AND Meningitis prior to registration.
