Healthy Aging Symposium

Hosted by the Department of Health Promotion and Nutrition Sciences at Lehman College, the Healthy Aging Symposium brings together researchers, faculty, students, practitioners, and community members to explore issues shaping the health and well-being of older adults—especially within the Bronx and broader CUNY communities.

Our goal is to make research and practice relevant, accessible, and grounded in the realities of everyday life. We highlight work that reflects the strengths, challenges, and opportunities facing aging populations, with a focus on equity, lived experience, and community-informed approaches.

The symposium convenes speakers across disciplines to share current research, practical insights, and innovative programs. Sessions are designed to spark conversation, build connections, and identify opportunities to translate research into practice.

The Healthy Aging Symposium is supported by the CUNY Institute for Health Equity.
