Welcome to the Department of Health Equity, Administration & Technology, where we are committed to preparing students in the undergraduate program in Health Services Administration and the New Nursing Home Administration Certificate. In the near future, we will re-introduce the Bachelor of Science in Public Health. The Department of HEAT is well positioned to drive health disparities and health equity research and we are very pleased that the CUNY Institute for Health Equity is inextricably linked to the Department of HEAT. Our dedicated faculty are here to help you reach your personal goals. We are always available for questions or advising. Mission

The Mission of the Department of Health Equity, Administration & Technology is highly reflective of the mission of the college and the school, where we embody the ideals of the Lehman Principles to Educate, Empower, Engage.

Aspiration

We aspire to produce graduates who are well able to secure good jobs in the public health, health services administration, environmental health and other health-related occupations. We anticipate in the near future, the department will re-introduce the BS in Public Health and introduce a Masters in Health Services Administration a 30-credit online major.

This course takes a closer look at current trends in behavior assessments and traditional behavior-based supports, considering both their influence and the common concerns that come with them. From there, participants will explore affirming alternatives that go beyond surface-level behaviors and get to the root of regulation needs in children and adults across diverse learning profiles.
