Student Spotlight | Keturah Smith, MSOL Student

Keturah Smith pivoted from project management to a leadership position as Director of Learning and Development. Now running a department, she needed to take her management skills to the next level. Lehman’s Master of Science in Organizational Leadership was the perfect fit. With the program’s evening classes and a fully online option, Keturah appreciated the option to earn a graduate degree in 12 months from the convenience of her home, alongside a cohort of other working professionals. She loves that she can apply what she’s learning directly to her job.

“I get to advocate for employees in my company and help them get the L&D support that they need. It's something I want to continue doing, because I feel a company is only as good as its people.”

She also sees opportunities for career advancement with an MSOL degree from Lehman, whether that’s an elevated position in her current area, a chief of staff, or a shift to leadership coaching.

“The program is helping me determine where I may want to go and how I want to be employed—what my next step should be from a leadership perspective, to have a greater role. I want to continue to make an impact so that I can see my ideas come to fruition.”
