State Educator Certification Advisement

We are set up to serve all Lehman School of Education students, current and alumni, by providing guidance on the New York state certification requirements. This information involves your specific program area, education background and the type of certificate you will be seeking after official graduation. This requires our office to research all this information before providing the proper guidance in our replies.

Certification advisement is conducted via email first and foremost and then via phone or zoom. Please include your full name, CUNYfirst ID number (or the last 4 digits of your social security number), and a phone number you can be reached at.

Any inquiries regarding NY State certification should be submitted to teacher.certification@lehman.cuny.edu
