Sih-Chiao Hsu, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist specializing in bilingual Mandarin-speaking children with speech, language, and articulation disorders, as well as voice disorders in Mandarin-speaking adults with Parkinson’s disease. Born in Taiwan, she earned her Ph.D. in Speech-Language Pathology from Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research explores intensive voice treatment for Mandarin speakers with hypokinetic dysarthria due to Parkinson’s disease, showing lasting improvements in speech intelligibility.

Before joining Lehman College, Dr. Hsu worked as a speech-language pathologist, serving bilingual Mandarin-speaking students ages 5-18. Her research focuses on hypokinetic dysarthria in Mandarin-speaking adults with Parkinson’s disease and caregivers' role in speech therapy. Passionate about teaching, she has supervised graduate students in clinical settings and taught Audiology and Speech-Language Programs as an adjunct professor at Asia University in Taiwan.

Dr. Hsu is committed to training future speech-language pathologists and educating caregivers of individuals with speech disorders.
