Associate Professor Alexander Núñez Torres demonstrates Bloomberg Terminal to visiting UPR students
The Lehman College School of Business welcomed exchange students from the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) for a special opportunity to experience the College’s hands-on approach to business education.
Lehman was the sole academic institution visited on the weeklong tour that also included trips to top New York financial firms like Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, and PwC.
The 25 undergraduate and graduate business students from UPR’s Facultad de Administración de Empresas (Faculty of Business Administration) took a class on the fundamentals of investing, taught by Associate Professor of Finance, Information Systems, and Economics Alexander Núñez Torres. The class was followed by time in the College’s Bloomberg Lab where they researched investment opportunities using Bloomberg Terminal, the real-time financial data and trading system used by professionals.
Núñez Torres, who organized the visit and earned his doctorate from FAE said discussions are underway to bring future cohorts of FAE exchange students to Lehman.
