Three Lehman Public Safety Officers put their training into practice last week, saving two lives in two separate incidents. First, Sgt. Pache successfully performed the Heimlich maneuver on a choking student. Then, Lt. Canton and Sgt. Rodriguez used an automatic defibrillator and performed CPR to bring back a staff member who collapsed and fell unconscious. At last word, both people are stable.
“We are deeply grateful to our dedicated Public Safety Officers, whose training, professionalism, and swift action made these life-saving interventions possible,” said Assistant Director of Public Safety, Lieutenant Alan Orozco.
