Lehman College Multimedia Center
Lehman College of the City University of New York has opened a new 28,000 sq. ft. Multimedia Center. The facility establishes Lehman as one of the most technologically advanced schools in the CUNY system and puts the College in the forefront of multimedia facilities in the region.
The Multimedia Center at Lehman College is a two-story, state-of-the-art facility that serves both Lehman students and New York City's artistic community. The custom-built center has an acoustically designed recording studio, audio and video production control rooms, eight editing suites — one of which is enhanced for audio sweetening — student news room, media conversion room, graphics room, conference room and 5 'technology-enhanced' classrooms.
Lehman sees the Multimedia Center as a model for multi-use educational facilities; a magnet for dynamic learning and community activity; a gateway for students aspiring to careers in journalism, communications and media production. Graduates of Lehman's multimedia programs will impact the community at local and national levels, enhancing media production in the region and bringing fresh perspectives and a diversity of experience to their fields.

DATFunK! The fourteen piece band DATFunK! recorded a tribute to Stevie Wonder's "Songs in the Key of Life" at Lehman's Multimedia Center. Video and audio production was supervised by the Center's staff, students and interns in the state-of-the-art recording studio. A video of the tribute is available on Lehman Digital Connect.

Best of The Bronx Best of The Bronx is an Emmy Award-winning series of one-minute videos highlighting the hidden gems of The Bronx. The Lehman College Multimedia Center is thrilled to celebrate their Emmy for The Best of the Public Service Announcement category and was also honored with a TELLY in the same classification. Best of The Bronx was created and produced by Lehman College students with the help of skilled staff, faculty and media professionals.

2015 Commencement Commencement is an elaborate audio and video production made possible by some 40 staff from the Multimedia Center, BronxNet, Buildings and Grounds and Public Safety, in addition to students and interns. Setup begins days in advance for staging, flight pack (portable video production setup) and live sound reinforcement. This year included a live streaming broadcast of the ceremony along with live updates on social media throughout the day.
