Welcome to the Environmental, Geographic and Geological Sciences Department at Lehman College. This is an exciting time to study any of these fields. Today it has become more important than ever before to learn about our changing planet. How will climate change affect us? What do we know about natural hazards such as hurricanes, thunderstorms, floods, and earthquakes? How can we contribute to conserve our environment and reduce its pollution? Where and why do we experience increases in economic inequalities between people, regions, and countries?
